Large Antique Moroccan Astrolabe w/ 3 Discs c1900
A fine Antique Moroccan Astrolabe astrolabe with 3 internal Discs, dating circa 1900. All hand chased Arabic calligraphy, mentioning the date 1717, likely on the original this was copied from. It appears to be more of an almanac rather than a navigation tool. Measures 9.5” wide x 13” tall including mount & ring. Everything original except for d-ring holding it closed, that appears to be a replacement. Good patina inside but polished outside.
